Join us for the 2015 Economic Summit
The Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association and the Steamboat Springs Economic Development Council are pleased to present the 2015 Economic Summit. This well-attended annual educational and networking event delivers relevant and thought-provoking content on economic issues to business and community leaders in the Yampa Valley.
Summit speakers include economist Keith Kramer, Executive Director, Yampa Valley Data Partners; Edgar Papke, Chef turned leadership psychologist and executive coach; Todd Musselman, organizational/leadership trainer; Ralf Garrison, destination travel market data expert, and an innovation panel featuring inspiring local stories.
Ralf Garrison’s Advisory Group Inc. is a Denver based strategic marketing company established in 1984 as a platform from which
a family of travel-related services and related businesses have been incubated, by way of a unique public-private co-operative that includes the Mountain Travel Symposium, The ASSEMBLY, Destination Summit, DestiMetrics (formerly MTRiP), and CRADR, and the Central Reservation Association of Destination Resorts.
From his vantage point, Garrison has unparalleled access to destination travel market data, which complements his work
with DestiMetrics, that tracks and reports destination mountain travel economic and performance metrics and has become the single source for benchmarking destination mountain travel in North America. Garrison leverages his unparalleled access to destination travel market data by speaking and writing about forces at play in the industry and the strategic implications for success.
Todd is a powerful and effective leader who combines his background as a business owner, sales representative, and professional musician to produce strong, measurable results in the fields of cultural change, sales training, motivational speaking and executive/life coaching.
As an organizational/leadership trainer, Todd brings over 25 years of experience working in his family owned business. As part owner of he company, Todd served in many different capacities. His primary role was that of outside sales, in which he successfully created and maintained an account base of over 350 retail businesses.
As a speaker, Todd's creative blend of stories, humor and music has provided an inspiring and lasting experience for a large variety of teams and organizations for the past 20 years. Todd's presentations are steeped in real life experience, which enables him to connect to the participants in a way that emboldens and challenges them to recognize and seize the opportunities that occur in their lives both personally and professionally.
As an executive/life coach, Todd utilizes his extensive experience in, and passion for transformational leadership. His approach to coaching is experientially based, drawing on his years working with employees and customers. Some of the clients Todd has worked with include: MillerCoors, State Farm, RE/MAX, Colorado Group Realty, Yampa Valley Hospital, City of Steamboat Springs, Intrawest, Prudential Group, Yampa Valley Bank, CU Ski Team, Jeffco Health and Human Services, Williams, and Steamboat Ski Corporation.
Todd graduated from Colorado State University in 1986 with a BA in Sociology. He lives with his wife and three children in Steamboat Springs, Colorado where he enjoys a life centered on his family and the beautiful outdoors which surround them.
Chef turned leadership psychologist and
executive coach, Edgar Papke is dedicated to studying and teaching the human art of business.He is an author and global award-winning speaker who reminds us that business is the expression of who we are, what we want, and how we get it. Edgar's latest book, The Elephant in the Boardroom: How Leaders Use and Manage Conflict to Reach Greater Levels of Success is available October 2015 (Career Press/New Page Books.) He is also the author of True Alignment (AMACOM,2014), focusing on the alignment of brand and company culture to the customer and the delivery emotional satisfaction.
He has published numerous essays, is a featured contributor to the American Management Association International's newsletters, and is frequent guest blogger on leadership, business, and social issues.
Keith Kramer is executive director of Yampa Valley Data Partners, a non-profit organization that has provided completely unbiased, neutral data to governments, businesses, other non-profits and private citizens throughout Northwest Colorado since the mid-1990s. Yampa Valley Data Partners develops and publishes data publications, community indicators reports, and a wide array of special studies and presentations on various economic, demographic, social and environmental issues, and is truly a one-of-a-kind resource that we’ve come to rely upon in our region.
Keith has a Master’s degree in Technical Communication and more than 30 years communicating data to both technical and non-technical audiences as a researcher, communications manager, training manager, technical writer and journalist. He has lived in Steamboat Springs for 30 years and was the original editor of Steamboat Today when it launched in August 1989.
