In Colorado there are 70,000 people over the age of 65 living with Alzheimer's disease and 200,000 serving as their caregivers. Many of the community members in Steamboat are affected by dementia.
The Colorado Alzheimer's Association is coming to Steamboat Springs to provide free public education. This event is for anyone who would like to know more about legal and financial issues to consider and how to put a plan in place. Dinner will be served. Catherine Swan, of Swan Law, and Dan Foley from Sleeping Giant Financial Services will be presenting the information in partnership with the Colorado Alzheimer's Association. This event is brought to you by Casey's Pond and the Routt County Council on Aging.
