Steamboat Art Museum

  • About Us

The mission of the Steamboat Art Museum is to collect, preserve, and present fine art to the public, with a primary focus on Northwestern Colorado.

The First National Bank Building was bequeathed to the City of Steamboat Springs by the estate of local artist and historian Helen Rehder, with a stipulation that the building be used as a museum. A historical renovation is being studied, and plans include exhibition galleries, a gift shop, an extensive art library, and administrative offices. Fundraising efforts include museum memberships, an ongoing museum silent auction, a lecture series, and the annual art collectors' evening: The Art Event.

Museum Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.
    Store Hours: Tuesday through Saturday, 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Sundays, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
