Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler-The good times are definitely ready to roll in Ski Town, U.S.A.® when the Steamboat Mardi Gras Festival comes marching in, February 23 - 28, with free concerts, parades, snow sculpture contests, a Cajun BBQ, Mardi Gras party, and more.
The festival culminates on Fat Tuesday with an all-day celebration featuring a snow sculpture contest at the chairlifts, restaurant specials, and plenty of beads to go around.
Saturday, February 25
All Day - Mardi Gras snow sculpture contest at the chairlifts
11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. - Free face painting in Gondola Square
1:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. - Mardi Gras Party in Gondola Square with carnival style face painters, street performers plus Cajun flavors at the Bear River Bar & Grill featuring: crawfish boil, po' boys, gumbo, and fried oysters
2:30 p.m. - Mardi Gras Parade: The parade starts in Torian Plum Plaza in front of the Steamboat Base Club and then travels throughout the Mountain Village spreading Mardi Gras cheer. Masks and beads provided first come, first serve.
3:00 p.m. - Free concert featuring MarchFourth, a Steampunk Rock-n-Roll circus party.
